France: Three killed in building fire near Paris

PARIS, (Xinhua): Three people were killed and 13 were injured Saturday night in a building fire in Aubervilliers, near Paris, French newspaper Le Figaro reported Sunday.

Residents reported disputes in the apartment building in Aubervilliers, Seine-Saint-Denis. The fire broke out shortly after 22:00 local time (GMT 2100) on the third floor and spread to the fourth.

Four were critically injured among the 13 wounded. Twenty people were treated for smoke inhalation.

Approximately 200 firefighters were called to the scene and the flames were under control by 23:45 (GMT 2245). Sixty residents who survived the fire were installed in a bar nearby and a gym, Le Figaro said.

The cause of the accident was unknown in the middle of night.
