Pakistan: Death toll of police van attack rises to three

PESHAWAR, (APP): The death toll in the bomb blast on mobile police van in the jurisdiction of Yakatooth police station has reached to three as a Sub-Inspector died of his critical wounds on Friday morning in the hospital, police said.

Sub-Inspector Maqbool Jan and two constables Gohar Khan, Syed Maqbool Shah were killed when unidentified assailants detonated a remote control device bomb targeting the police van of Yakatooth police at Punj Katha Chowk on late Thursday night.

The injured were rushed to Lady Reading Hospital for treatment.
Police soon after the incident cordoned off the area and started search operation.
