'Id al-Adha message from Michael Howard

"I would like to take this opportunity to send my warmest wishes to your readers and their families on the sacred occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
This important event for the Muslim community is a time for Muslims in Britain and beyond to join together in fellowship and remembrance.
It is also a time for giving, sharing and reaffirming friendships – and for thinking of others less fortunate than ourselves.
Britain is enriched beyond measure by the talent, contribution and hard work of British Muslims up and down the country.
The values of the Muslim community – commitment to family, a spirit of hard work and devotion to community - are all values which the Conservative Party shares and cherishes.
Once again, I extend my best wishes on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, and wish your readers peace and prosperity.
