20th Aug 2013

IMEMC & Agencies: Palestinian sources have reported that dozens of Israeli soldiers surrounded the village of Iraq-Burin, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, leading to clashes with local youths, Monday evening

The sources said that the clashes lasted for more than two hours, and added the dozens of youths surrounded a group of invading soldiers, and hurled stones and empty bottle at them, the Palestine News Network (PNN) has reported.
Ghassan Daghlas, in charge of Israeli Settlements File at the Palestinian Authority in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, stated that the soldiers called for backup, before several armored military jeeps invaded the village.
The army fired dozens of gas bombs, concussion grenades and rubber-coated metal bullets at the residents; dozens of residents have been treated for the effects of teargas inhalation, medical sources said.
