Palestine: Israeli army kidnaps 37 Palestinians in West Bank

 

IMEMC & Agencies: Monday, Israeli soldiers kidnapped 37 Palestinians in different parts of the West Bank, as its military offensive continues for the eleventh consecutive day.

In Nablus, soldiers kidnapped eight Palestinians in different neighborhoods in the city, after violently searching their homes.

Four of them were kidnapped in Nablus city; they are all university students identified as Taha Sal’ous, Ahmad Tanbour, Abdul-Rahman Mohammad al-Beeshawy and Moath Ordoniyya.

Clashes were reported in Askar refugee camp, east of Nablus, after dozens of soldiers invaded it, fired gas bombs and concussion grenades, before searching homes and kidnapped two brothers identified as Rami and Salahedeen Dweikat.

The soldiers also invaded Kufur Qalil village, south of Nablus, and kidnapped Salah Sa’dy ‘Amer, while resident Amir Eshteyya was kidnapped in Tal village, west of the city.

In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, soldiers invaded Methaloon village, west of Jenin city, and kidnapped Jihad Turki N’eirat, 37, after violently searching his home. Soldiers also invaded and searched several homes.

In Qabatia, the army shot and injured Eyad Hamza Saba’na, 20, during clashes that took place between the residents and the invading soldiers. Saba’na was shot by a live round in his leg.

Several Palestinians suffered the effects of teargas inhalation, while the soldiers also searched several homes, and used the rooftops of some homes as monitoring towers.

Similar invasions, home and property searches, took place in Sielet al-Harethiyya village, west of Jenin.
In the southern West Bank district of Hebron, soldiers invaded and ransacked dozens of homes, and stores, and kidnapped ten Palestinians.

Four were kidnapped in Beit ‘Awwa town, south of Hebron. They have been identified as Daoud Kathem Sweity, Ibrahim Mohammad Sweity, Ali Ibrahim Sweity, and Issa Mohammad Abu Jamal.

The soldiers also invaded the al-‘Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, and kidnapped Mohammad Imad Jawabra, Ramzi Khaled al-Badawi, Amir Mohammad at-Teety, Moheeb Abdul-Aziz an-Najma, while resident Issam Abu Aisha was kidnapped in Hebron city.

The soldiers also invaded various neighborhoods in Hebron city, Deir Samet village, Beit ‘Awwa town, Wad al-Hamam in Doura, and several other Palestinian communities.

They smashed doors of several stores in Hebron, and searched them in addition to searching dozens of homes. In Bethlehem, soldiers kidnapped four Palestinians in the Saff Street, Wadi Maali, and al-Maslakh.

Troops also installed roadblocks closing several main roads leading to the district, where they stopped and searched dozens of cars, and investigated the ID cards of the passengers.

In occupied Jerusalem, the army kidnapped eight Palestinians in the al-‘Ezariyya and Abu Dis towns, and took them to an interrogation facility in Ma’ale Adumim settlement.

Eyewitnesses said dozens of soldiers invaded Abu Dis, sealed all of its entrances, and initiated a massive search targeting dozens of homes and stores, before kidnapping the eight Palestinians; clashes have also been reported.

In al-‘Ezariyya town, soldiers kidnapped Mousa Far’oun, and violently searched a local company belonging to resident Eyad al-Qawasmi, causing property damage.

Late on Sunday at night, soldiers kidnapped two Palestinian in Abu Gush town, west of Jerusalem.
In Tulkarem, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, the army kidnapped Abdul-Ra’ouf Najbi, 27, resident Nash’at Adel Fayez in Qaffeen village, north of Tulkarem, and resident Mohammad Tawfiq ‘Amarna, 24, was kidnapped in Tulkarem refugee camp.
