IMEMC & Agencies: A number of masked extremist Israeli settlers attacked on Monday at dawn 22 Palestinian cars in Beit Hanina, in occupied East Jerusalem, and punctured their tires before drawing the star of David on one of the vehicles, and racist graffiti on the front wall of a local home.

The attack took place in Tal Al-Foul area, in Beit Hanina; the settlers also wrote “We Will Not Be Silent”, and drew the Star of David.

Local sources have reported that the settlers punctured tires of 22 Palestinian vehicles; 10 of them in one neighborhood, and 12 in a nearby neighborhood in the town.

Resident Ammar An-Natsha, an owner of one of the attacked vehicles, told the Palestine News & Info Agency (WAFA) that the police told him that “should the assailants be caught and convicted, he will be compensated; otherwise he will never see a cent”.

Resident Firas Al-Afghani, said that as he came back home from his night shift at work, he found racist graffiti on his car, and the cars of his family members, and added that the settlers also punctured the tires of the vehicles.

He said that dozens of attacks have been recently carried out by extremist settlers against local homes and vehicles in the area.

Al-Afghani added that the settlers previously attacked dozens of children in the town, and caused damage to property that belong to his family as well as the families of An-Natsha, Al-Qawasmy, Al-Khayyat and Abu Ramouz.

It is worth mentioning that this is the fourth attack of its kind, in Jerusalem, in one month.
Tires of several Palestinian cars were also punctured by the end of May in the French Hill and in Sheikh Jarrah.

Racist Price Tag graffiti was also found, a week on the outer walls of a Church in the Old City, settlers punctured tires of 28 Palestinian cars, and wrote racist graffiti in Abu Ghosh.

Also last week, a senior Police commander in Jerusalem, claimed that the Police managed to uncover some of the Price Tag attacks against the Palestinians.

He said that the National Crime Unit of the Police will allegedly start active operations in the coming few months, and will add 50 more police officers to its work force.

The commander added that the police is waiting for Defense Minister, Moshe Ya’alon, to declare Price Tag groups to be illegal terrorist organizations, despite the fact that the Security Committee of the Knesset refused to do so.

Price Tag attacks are carried out by extremist Israeli settlers against the Palestinians, their lands and property, in what the settlers call “retaliation to Palestinian attacks”, and to the eviction of illegal settlement outposts in the West Bank.
