The sources said that three young men were shot by rounds of live ammunition, while several others suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation. The clashes took place after several military vehicles invaded the village.
One of the wounded was moved to a local hospital, suffering an injury in his pelvis, while the rest received treatment by medics at the scene.
Dozens of Palestinians suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation; most of them were hurt while in their homes as the army fired dozens of gas bombs.
The clashes took place after Israeli soldiers assaulted Palestinians marching in condemnation of the abduction and brutal murder of Mohammad Abu Khdeir, the Palestinian teen who was kidnapped by fanatic Israelis, beaten and burnt to death.
In related news, a Palestinian teen identified as Ala’ Mousa Obeyyat, 17, was injured late on Friday evening after being hit by a settler’s vehicle in Keesan village, east of Bethlehem.
Hussein Ghazal, head of the Keesan Village Council, stated that Obeyyat was riding his bicycle on his way to a local shop. The settler fled the scene.
Obeyyat was moved to a local clinic in the Teqoua’ nearby village, and was later moved to the Beit Jala Hospital suffering moderate wounds.
