Pakistan: Journalists protest against attack on Hamid

KARACHI, (The News):  Journalists across Pakistan are outraged over the attack on Geo News senior anchor Hamid Mir and are staging protests.


Protest demonstrations are being held in Obaro, Multan, Dera Ismail Khan, Noaushehroferoze and many other cities and towns of the four province of Pakistan against the dastardly attack on Hamid Mir, while the journalist community also demanded the arrest of the assailants.


Multan Union of Journalist (Barna and Dastori), Electronic Media Journalist Association, (South Punjab) and other media organizations have announced staging protest demonstrations before the press club today.


Journalists including social and political organizations took out a rally and are staging a sit-in from the National Press Club to the main chowk.


In D.I. Khan, Dera Union of Journalist and other organizations bringing out rally from Huq Nawaz Park to Topa Wali.


Demonstrations held and rally taken out in Nowshera. Journalist associations demonstrated in Swat, Press Club Mirpur in Azad Kashmir staging protests.


Azad Kashmir former prime minister, Atiq Ahmad Khan and Markazi Anjuman Tajiran have slated the attack on Hamid Mir.
