Pakistan: Karachi violence leaves four dead two injured

KARACHI, (The News): The morgues of metropolis continue to receive bullet-riddled  bodies as violent crime never seems to go out of business in Karachi, the financial center of Pakistan, Geo News reported Wednesday night.


At least four people including a doctor and a political worker were killed and two injured in the city on the night between Wednesday and Thursday.


The police said two trussed dead bodies stuffed in the gunnysacks were found lying near Baloch Hotel turn located in Hassan Squire’s Liaquatabad area.


“Both the victims, residents of Larkana, were identified as Tahir Barohi and Ahmed Barohi. They died of gunshot wounds”, the police added.


In a separate incident, gunmen shot dead one, Farid, somewhere on the road that leads to Teen Hatti from Lasbella. The deceased was associated with a political party.


Another report said that armed hitmen gunned down a man named Ghazanfar near Daak Khana Stop in Liaquatabad. He was a physician. Police said he was killed while he was on the way home from his clinic located in Gulbahar Colony.


“It appears to be an act of targeted sectarian killing”, said police.


Majis Wahdatul Muslimeen has condemned the killing of Dr Ghazanfar.


Moreover, a rocket attack on Alfalah Road in Lyari left two people injured.
