PARACHINAR, (Express Tribune): At least 12 people were killed and more than 20 injured when two bombs exploded in the central market of Parachinar, in Kurram Agency, followed by one in earlier in the afternoon.
The bombs were planted in motorbikes that were reportedly detonated in the Shingak Bazaar and in the Zeran stands that killed eight people on the spot and injured 20 others.
Residents from the nearby crowded markets rushed to help shift the injured along with the bodies to the Parachinar Headquarters hospital, where two of the injured succumbed to injuries. An emergency was declared in the hospital.
At least three of the injured were reported to be in a critical condition.
Earlier on Friday, two people were killed when a roadside-planted bomb hit a passenger vehicle in Pakistan’s northwest tribal region of Kurram Agency on Friday afternoon, Express News reported.
A total of three blasts in total occurred in Parachinar on Friday, killing 12 people and injuring at least 20.
