Pakistan: Nine more killed in Karachi fresh violence, firing incidents

KARACHI, (The News): Nine more people were killed in the overnight fresh wave of firing and violence here, Geo News reported.


Three persons were gunned down Monday morning near Jhatpat market in Lyari Town, of them, included the father and his two sons identified as Shakoor 48, Abid, 20 and Zahid, 24.

Three bodies were found in a car parked in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of the city.

Police said that they found three bullet- riddled bodies after locals informed them about the vehicle parked near the Telephone Exchange. They said that the deceased were subjected to severe torture before being killed. The bodies were taken to Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Complex (JPMC). Identities of the deceased were yet to be ascertained.

While three persons were shot down in separate incidents on University Road, in Orangi Town and Mauripur road. Motorcycle rider Saleem was shot down near University of Karachi Gate on University Road. One person was gunned down near old truck stand on Mauripur Road. A man was shot dead in Orangi Town-4 area of the city whose identity was not known.,-firing-incidents
