Pakistan: More rain with thunder, lightening forecast in next 24 hours in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, (The News): Strong windstorm followed by heavy rain wreaked havoc in different localities of the city, as several low lying areas went into knee-deep water, while a boy, 13 was killed on Adiala Road when roof of a mud house caved in during the rain, Geo News reported.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has forecast more rains with thunder and lightening during next 24 hours.

The torrential rain though brought some respite for the inhabitants of the twin cities from hot and humid weather, yet the destruction it caused in low lying areas by flooding rain water into the houses proved more painful and destructive to such localities in the city including Imambargah Chowk, Javed Colony, Sadiqabad, Dhok Saidan, Arya Mohallah, Katarian and Adiala Road.

On the other hand, there is no possibility of rain in Islamabad presently, while the weather remained hot and dry.

In Peshawar, the weather is pleasant, heat wave gone, cold wind blowing although the city received no heavy rain.

Sunny weather in Lahore but often it gets cloudy with intermittent rain.

Met office has forecast in next 24 hours rain with thunder and lightening at different places in Kashmir, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranawala, Lahore Division, Hazara, Kohat, Peshawar, Kalat, Makran Division, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Bhawalpur, Malakand, Bannu and Dera Ghazi Khan Division.
