HYDERABAD, (Dawn): Three bombs exploded one after another in the early hours of Friday in Hyderabad, but no casualties were reported.

According to DawnNews sources, a Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) was targeted in the first blast, whereas the subsequent explosions took place on a railway track.

The first blast took place at 5 am in the morning. The bomb was launched on the SSP’s office, creating a six-foot wide hole in the wall.

Eyewitnesses said the blast was so severe that it damaged the windows of nearby houses in the area. Moreover, the ceiling of a mosque also collapsed in the vicinity.

A heavy contingent of police personnel reached the SSP’s office and simultaneously two explosions occurred on a railway track in Hyderabad’s Hussainabad district.

Due to the latter explosion, train traffic going from Karachi to Peshawar was suspended.
