Pakistan: Three including an ASI killed in Karachi firing

KARACHI, (The News): Three persons including a police officer lost their lives in the recent firing and other violent incidents that occurred Saturday morning, Geo News reported.


According to police, unknown gunmen opened fire in Moach Goth area of Baldia Town early morning that killed a man who was later identified as Assistant Sub-inspector (ASI) Khursheed. The deceased policeman was deployed in Mochko police station.


Another man was killed when unidentified assailants opened fire at Vita roundabout in Korangi Industrial Area. The victim could not be identified yet.


In other incidents of firing that took place in Metroville Site and Lyari areas, two persons sustained injuries who were shifted to nearby hospital for treatment.


On the other hand, a gang war accused was killed in an encounter that took place in Nawa Lane area of Lyari during an operation launched jointly by the police and Rangers.


The culprit was identified as Yousuf.
