SANAA, Yemen (AA): At least 10 people were killed late Tuesday when a suicide car bomb targeted a mosque in Sanaa, according to eyewitnesses.
Speaking on twitter, Daesh [Islamic State] claimed responsibility for the attack stating that it came within a chain of “vengeance operations” against the Shia Houthis Muslims.
The Houthi-run Saba News Agency also confirmed the attack.
Bomb went off as worshippers were leaving after evening prayers in southeast Sana’a.
Yemen has remained in chaos since last September, when the Shia Houthi militant group overran capital Sanaa.
